What Happened?
Midwest Spine and Brain Institute reported a data breach after learning that an unauthorized actor gained access to the network environment of one of its third-party vendors, 3C Care Systems LLC, a healthcare IT company.
It was found, after an investigation, that unauthorized access occured on the vendor's systems on or about Nov. 21, 2024. As a result of this breach, sensitive personal and health information was exposed. The information affected varies by individual, but may include the following:
