What Happened?

On Nov. 2, 2025, Mid-south Pulmonary & Sleep Specialists discovered unauthorized activity within its computer systems.

The company responded by engaging third-party forensic experts to investigate and secure its network. After an investigation, it was confirmed that protected health information may have been accessed without authorization.

The incident was later linked to the ANUBIS ransomware group, which claimed to have obtained internal data and threatened to publish it on the dark web. The group posted about the breach on Nov. 28, 2025, indicating that names, dates of birth, addresses, phone numbers, Social Security numbers, medical records, and diagnostic details were among the stolen data.
