What happened?

In November 2024, MedicareCompareUSA discovered suspicious activity involving certain internal email accounts. An investigation determined that unauthorized access to specific accounts occurred between Nov. 5, 2024, and Nov. 21, 2024.

MedicareCompareUSA notified Humana in March 2025 that individuals connected to Humana may have been affected by the data breach. The cybersecurity incident compromised both personally identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI).

The total number of affected individuals has not been released, but includes at least 922 Washington residents. MedicareCompareUSA and Humana published a Notice of Privacy Incident on their websites.
