What Happened?

Marin Cancer Care discovered a data breach on or about Dec. 8, 2015. The breach itself occurred on Nov. 19, 2015.

Upon discovery of this event, Marin Cancer Care began working with third party cybersecurity investigators to determine the full scope of the event. The investigation identified signs of unauthorized access to Marin Cancer Care’s network.

The affected files exposed the following information:

  • Medical information

Marin Cancer Care has published a notice on its website detailing the event. The company has also disclosed the incident to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on Feb. 6, 2026.

As of current reports, the incident affected an unknown number of individuals in the United States. The investigation remains ongoing at this time.
