What Happened?
On Jan. 31, 2026, Lusamerica Foods experienced a ransomware attack.
The PLAY ransomware group claimed responsibility for the breach and announced on the dark web that they had obtained sensitive company data. The compromised information allegedly included private and personal confidential data, client documents, budget, payroll, IDs, taxes and finance information.
As of current public disclosures, the following consumer information types were confirmed to have been exposed:

- Social Security numbers
- Dates of Birth
- Health insurance policy or ID numbers
The company has since notified affected individuals and provided resources for monitoring and protecting personal information. At this time, 1,017 residents of Washington were confirmed to have been impacted as a result of the breach.
