What Happened?
On July 11, 2025, LACMA detected suspicious activity within a portion of its computer network. The organization began working with third-party cybersecurity experts to investigate and address the situation.
The investigation revealed that an unauthorized third party had gained access to part of the network between July 7 and July 11, 2025.
After identifying the impacted files, LACMA engaged a data review firm to analyze the contents. The initial results were received in late February 2026, and Lacma worked to ensure accurate contact information for all affected individuals.
