What happened?

On or around Aug. 5, 2025, KLA Instruments discovered that an unauthorized actor gained access to certain corporate internal systems. The company engaged third-party forensic and data mining experts to investigate and determined that files containing sensitive data were accessed and obtained in the data breach.

KLA Instruments sent notices to affected consumers on Nov. 7, 2025. The total number of affected current and former employees and other individuals has not been released.
