What Happened?

Between January 17 and January 27, 2026, certain files were accessed and acquired from Joyal Capital Management's network. Notably, the impacted server was shared between two entities: Joyal Financial and Joyal Capital Management.

The entities were notified of the incident on Feb. 18, 2026.

On Apr. 22, 2026, Joyal Capital Management determined that the types of personal information exposed in their files:

Information Exposed for Joyal Capital Management:

  • Driver's licenses
  • Financial account information including credit/ debit numbers
  • Social Security numbers
  • Names
  • State identification card numbers

On July 8, 2026, Joyal Financial determined the types of personal information exposed in their files:

Information Exposed for Joyal Financial:

  • Names
  • Social Security numbers
  • Financial account numbers
  • Tax ID numbers
  • Driver's License numbers
  • Health/ medical information

A total of 16 individuals in Maine, 2,441 in Massachusetts, 45 in New Hampshire, and three in Vermont were reported as affected.
