What Happened?
On or around Sept. 1, 2026, Idscan.net discovered that certain data may have been accessed without authorization.
The company began securing its systems and engaged third-party specialists to investigate the incident. The investigation is ongoing, but Idscan.net has determined that an unauthorized third party may have accessed or copied customer information stored within accounts on its cloud platform.
Shortly after the breach, reports surfaced that a cybercriminal marketplace called Nexus was offering access to a massive collection of identity documents allegedly linked to Idscan.net.
The marketplace reportedly claimed to possess records on more than 170 million individuals, including over 153 million driver’s licenses.
Information Exposed:
- Full names
- Driver’s license numbers
- Government-issued identification numbers
