Local 697 operates a training facility, the INTAC (IBEW NECA Training Administration Center), located in Merrillville, Indiana. What happened?
On Aug. 1, 2025, Local 697 discovered unusual activity within its internal network. On Oct. 20, 2025, an investigation and review revealed that a threat actor accessed and may have obtained files containing sensitive data. The union began notifying affected individuals by mail on Nov. 3, 2025.

The data breach was also disclosed to the New Hampshire Attorney General on Nov. 4, 2025. The total number of current and former union members affected by the data breach has not been released.
