On May 31, 2025, Huron Regional Medical Center discovered suspicious activity in its network environment. By Aug. 21, 2025, HRMC determined that sensitive information belonging to patients had potentially been accessed and copied by an unauthorized party. The BEAST ransomware group claimed responsibility for the attack and stated they obtained 800GB of data, posting about the incident on the dark web.
