What Happened?

On July 18, 2025, Huntington Hospitality Financial Corp discovered that personal information belonging to certain individuals was potentially accessed without authorization. The incident traces back to unusual activity first detected on Dec. 12, 2024, in the company’s computer network.

After engaging cybersecurity experts and conducting a thorough investigation, it was determined that sensitive data may have been acquired by unauthorized parties.

The company completed a detailed review of the affected files on July 18, 2025, and began notifying impacted individuals by U.S. Mail on July 31, 2025.

According to filings with several state attorneys general, a total of 14,192 people in the United States were affected, including 1,296 in Texas and nine in Maine.

Information Exposed:

  • Social Security number information
  • Driver’s license number
  • Government-issued ID number (such as passport or state ID card)
  • Medical information

The breach was reported to the Maine Attorney General on July 31, 2025, and to the Texas and Vermont attorneys general on Aug. 1, 2025.
