What Happened?

On Dec. 19, 2025, Howard Brown Health disclosed a data breach to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

The cause of the breach has not been detailed in current public filings; however, the HHS has listed the breach as result of hacking or IT incident.

The specific types of exposed information have not been confirmed to the public but may include both PHI and PII such as names, Social Security numbers, addresses, dates of birth, medical records, financial account information, and more.

The breach affected a total of 8,357 individuals in the United States.
