What Happened?
Higginbotham Insurance Agency experienced a two separate data breaches on Feb. 5 and April 8, 2025.
The company launched an investigation with third-party cybersecurity specialists, which completed by Sept. 25, 2025, to determine the full scope of the incident.
HIA notified affected individuals by U.S. Mail. They further filed disclosures with the New Hampshire Attorney General and the Texas Attorney General office on March 3, 2025.
The breach affected at least 9,089 people in Texas and one in New Hampshire.
The types of information exposed in this breach include highly sensitive personal and financial data.

- Social Security numbers
- Financial information (such as account numbers, credit or debit card numbers)
