What Happened?
Heritage Family Credit Union recently notified members of a cybersecurity incident involving its vendor partner, TruStage, an insurance, investment and technology provider.
On July 15, 2026, TruStage detected a cyberattack affecting its environment and proactively shut down its network to contain the threat. This led to temporary disruptions for the insurance services provided through credit unions nationwide, including Heritage Family Credit Union.
The affected services include claims for GAP insurance, mechanical repair coverage, payment protection products and select Heritage Way services.
TruStage has not yet disclosed the specific types of personal information that may have been accessed or the total number of individuals impacted. The company is continuing its investigation and has stated it will provide updates as more information becomes available.
