What Happened?
On or about Dec. 18, 2025, Aesto, a company providing healthcare data migration and archiving services for Health Access Network Inc., experienced a network security incident.
The incident affected a portion of Aesto’s Amazon Web Services infrastructure. After an investigation with cybersecurity professionals, it was confirmed on May 26, 2026, that between Dec. 2, 2025, and Dec. 18, 2025, an unauthorized actor may have accessed and/or acquired certain protected health information related to Health Access Network Inc. patients.
The breach was reported to the Massachusetts and Vermont attorneys general on Sept. 23, 2026. So far, the incident impacted 243 people in Massachusetts and 35 in Vermont.
