What Happened?
On Sept. 5, 2025, First Meridian Services detected suspicious activity within its computer network. The company engaged outside counsel and third-party cybersecurity experts to investigate the incident.
The investigation revealed that an unauthorized third party gained access to a portion of the company’s network for a few days in early September and exfiltrated files from internal file shares.
A data-review firm was hired to analyze the contents of the compromised files. By Dec. 10, 2025, the review was completed, and the company began the process of notifying affected individuals.
Notices were mailed to those impacted on Feb. 10, 2026. The incident was also disclosed to the New Hampshire Attorney General.
