What Happened?
On Jan. 28, 2026, Excelas discovered suspicious activity on its network. The company began working with third-party cybersecurity specialists and law enforcement to investigate.
The investigation revealed that between Nov. 27, 2025, and Dec. 3, 2025, an unauthorized actor gained access to certain Excelas computer systems. During this time, files containing sensitive information may have been accessed or taken.
Additionally, the CL0P ransomware group claimed responsibility for the attack and posted about the breach on the dark web on Jan. 23, 2026.
