On Feb. 2, 2026, EP Wealth experienced a data breach that exposed sensitive personal information belonging to clients. Information is on how the breach occurred and the duration of the unauthorized access is limited at this time.
The breach was disclosed to the California Attorney General, the New Hampshire Attorney General, the Oregon Attorney General, and the Texas Attorney General starting on March 5, 2026. In Texas, 1,579 people were affected; in New Hampshire, 277 people were affected.
A total of 47,043 individuals were impacted as a result of the breach.

- Email addresses
- Dates of birth
- Tax IDs (Social Security numbers or Employer Identification Numbers)
- Financial account numbers
- Other information collected by EP Wealth Advisors about individuals and their family members
