What Happened?

Between Jan. 24 and Feb. 13, 2026, Elmwood Home Care experienced a data breach.

The company discovered suspicious activity in its computer systems and, after an investigation with cybersecurity experts, determined that an unauthorized actor accessed certain systems.

The hacking group LOCKBIT 5.0 claimed responsibility and threatened to publish the stolen data on the dark web, posting about the breach on March 8, 2026.

Elmwood Home Care reported that the following types of information may have been exposed:
