What Happened?

On or around Feb. 21, 2025, Eliza Jennings discovered suspicious activity within its network environment. The organization quickly launched an investigation with the help of legal counsel and third-party forensic specialists to determine the scope and nature of the incident. The investigation revealed that an unauthorized actor, later identified as the ransomware group RansomHub, may have viewed and copied certain data stored by Eliza Jennings.

The breach was significant enough that RansomHub claimed to have accessed 250 GB of organizational data and threatened to publish it on the dark web. The incident was reported to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on April 22, 2025. At least 845 individuals in the United States were affected.
