What happened?

Dania Dermatology experienced a data breach affecting both personally identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI) of an unknown number of patients.

On Feb. 26, 2025, the practice and its management company, DermCare Management, discovered suspicious activity on their network.

In early March 2025, an investigation determined an unauthorized actor may have copied certain patient information. Dania Dermatology posted an updated Notice of Data Security Event on its website on May 2, 2025.
