On Oct. 22, 2025, Cunningham Prosthetic Care discovered that an unauthorized individual may have accessed one of its email accounts.
After learning of the incident, the company launched an investigation with the help of external cybersecurity professionals. By March 4, 2026, it was determined that files containing personal and protected health information may have been subject to unauthorized access.
The types of information exposed in this breach include:

- Dates of birth
- Social Security numbers
- Driver’s license numbers
- Medical treatment and diagnostic information
- Medical record numbers
- Health insurance information
Not every type of information was impacted for every individual. The company began notifying affected individuals on May 1, 2026.
In Massachusetts alone, 33 people were reported as affected by the breach.
