What Happened?

On Aug. 14, 2025, Marquis Software Solutions detected suspicious activity on its network. After investigating with cybersecurity experts, they determined that an unauthorized third party had accessed and potentially acquired certain files from Marquis’ systems. The incident was limited to Marquis’ environment and did not impact CoVantage Credit Union’s internal systems.

By Sept. 8, 2025, Marquis engaged an expert to identify affected individuals. Notifications to the 160,000 affected members began in late October 2025.

Information Exposed:

  • Names
  • Addresses
  • Phone numbers
  • Social Security numbers
  • Financial account information
  • Dates of birth

As of Nov. 26, 2025, state disclosures note that 613 Texas residents were affected in addition to 22 in New Hampshire, 36 in Massachusetts and 21 in Maine.
