On March 24, 2026, New Congoleum discovered unusual activity in its network.

The company began an investigation with the help of independent cybersecurity experts to determine the scope of the incident and secure its systems. The investigation revealed that certain personal information may have been involved in the breach.

In total, 4,831 people in the United States were affected, including six in Maine and three in Vermont. Written notices were sent to those impacted on May 8, 2026.
