The practice offers both surgical and non-surgical treatments, including physical therapy, pain management and rehabilitation. Their services cover general orthopaedics, sports medicine, hand and wrist, foot and ankle, joint replacement, spine care, shoulder and elbow, knee, hip, fractures and trauma, as well as urgent walk-in care for injuries.

What Happened?

On Feb. 12, 2026, Comprehensive Orthopaedics discovered suspicious activity on its network.

The company took steps to secure its systems and brought in a third-party forensic firm to investigate.

The investigation revealed that an unauthorized third party—identified as the CRYPTO24 ransomware group—had accessed certain files. The group claimed responsibility and threatened to publish the stolen data on the dark web.

A thorough review determined that the impacted files contained sensitive personal and health information. The review was completed on June 17, 2026.

Information Exposed:

  • First and last names
  • Dates of birth
  • Social Security numbers
  • Government issued IDs
  • Financial account information and/or payment card information
  • Medical information
  • Health insurance information

On Sept. 10, 2026, the breach was reported to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. In total, 21,897 people in the United States were affected.
