What Happened?

CCBC's investigation determined that between May 18, 2024, and May 20, 2024, an unauthorized party gained access to its network. Certain files containing sensitive information were stored on the impacted systems and may have been subject to unauthorized access or acquisition.

According to reports filed with the Maine Attorney General, a total of 45,960 individuals in the United States were affected, including 30 residents of Maine. CCBC notified consumers of the breach in writing on May 19, 2025.
