What Happened?

In August 2025, Community 1st Credit Union was notified of a data breach at Marquis Software Solutions, a vendor they use for marketing services. Initially, it appeared that no sensitive member information was involved.

However, further investigation revealed that nonpublic personal information related to Community 1st Credit Union members was in fact included in the breach.

The investigation discovered that personally identifiable information (PII) of more than 6,876 members may have been impacted, affecting 6,511 members in Iowa alone.

On Oct. 27, 2025, Community 1st Credit Union was informed that sensitive member information was exposed.
