What happened?
On Aug. 5, 2025, Cliff Viessman, Inc became aware of suspicious activity within its IT network. An investigation revealed that a cybercriminal had gained access to certain systems and copied files from those systems. A review completed on Aug. 12, 2025 determined that the copied files contained sensitive personal and financial information.
The data breach compromised 3,367 individuals. CVI began notifying affected individuals by mail on Sept. 10, 2025.
