About City Health

City Health is a family-owned medical corporation operating walk-in urgent care and dermatology clinics in Oakland and San Leandro, California.

Founded in 2015, City Health focuses on treating non-life-threatening conditions for patients of all ages, offering services such as illness and infection care, minor injuries, dermatology, and on-site diagnostics.

What Happened?

On March 30, 2026, City Health discovered that an unauthorized party had accessed its electronic medical records platform, DrChrono, between March 2, 2026, and March 11, 2026.

The breach occurred through credentials associated with a third-party account belonging to a former business counterparty whose access had previously been terminated. As soon as the incident was discovered, City Health revoked the unauthorized access, secured the affected accounts, and launched an investigation with the help of cybersecurity experts.
