About CentreStack

CentreStack is a hybrid cloud platform developed by Gladinet Inc. Founded in 2008, the company provides secure mobile remote access, file sharing and collaboration tools for companies that want to enhance their on-premises file servers with cloud capabilities while maintaining data control.

CentreStack serves thousands of organizations across businesses in healthcare, engineering and other industries that require secure, flexible file access and collaboration.

What Happened?

In December 2025, a data breach involving CentreStack’s file-sharing platform was discovered. The incident was linked to a vulnerability that allowed unauthorized access to files stored on the CentreStack platform.

According to BleepingComputer, security researchers have attributed the attack to the Clop ransomware group, and the breach involved exfiltration of sensitive data and extortion attempts. However, official documentation has not specifically identified the group responsible.

The breach was first disclosed by GiaCare, a healthcare subcontractor, after learning that certain files maintained on CentreStack were accessed and stolen by an unauthorized third party.

The affected files contained sensitive personally identifiable information, including the following:

Your Rights and Next Steps

If personal information was exposed in the CentreStack data breach, individuals have important rights and options.

First, affected people should monitor their credit reports and financial accounts for any suspicious activity. They are entitled to obtain a free copy of their credit report from each of the three major credit bureaus every 12 months. In addition, it is possible to place a fraud alert or a security freeze on credit files to help prevent identity theft.

Affected individuals should also take advantage of any complimentary credit monitoring or identity theft protection services offered as part of the breach response. In this case, GiaCare has arranged for a one-year membership in Epiq – Privacy Solutions ID 3B Credit Monitoring, which includes credit monitoring, dark web monitoring, identity restoration support and up to $1 million in identity theft insurance.

Reporting any signs of fraud or identity theft to law enforcement and the Federal Trade Commission is also recommended.

Most importantly, those affected by the CentreStack data breach may have legal rights to seek compensation for any harm suffered as a result of the incident. Lawyers are ready to help explain these rights and guide affected individuals through the process.
