On Aug. 11, 2026, Castle Group discovered that sensitive personal information was compromised. The company responded by securing its systems and launching an investigation with cybersecurity professionals.
The Qilin ransomware group claimed responsibility for the attack and posted about it on the dark web on Feb. 17, 2026, stating that they obtained business and financial records.
The breach was publicly disclosed to the Massachusetts and Vermont Attorneys General on Aug. 26, 2026.
