ANIBIC offers a range of programs, including residential services, day habilitation, recreational and family support, Medicaid and non-Medicaid service coordination, and vocational training.
What Happened?
ANIBIC discovered suspicious activity in its computer network and began investigating the issue with the help of third-party experts.
An investigation into the incident determined that an unauthorized party accessed ANIBIC’s systems between March 7, 2025, and March 8, 2026. On May 18, 2026, ANIBIC learned that certain files containing program member information had been accessed.
The breach exposed the personal information of 1,918 individuals in the United States. The following types of information may have been compromised:
Information Exposed:
- Names
- Contact information
- Social Security numbers
- Dates of birth
- Health insurance information
- Service details such as medication information
- Individual treatment and/or diagnostic information
ANIBIC began mailing notification letters to affected program members on July 17, 2026.
