What happened
Earlier this year, Bouvier Insurance discovered that one of its user email accounts was accessed by an unauthorized actor. On July 25, 2025, it was determined that between Jan. 22, 2025, and Feb. 13, 2025, personal information may have been accessed or acquired by a cybercriminal.
Bouvier Insurance began notifying affected individuals on Aug. 21, 2025 and published a data breach notice on its website. The total number of affected customers and employees has not been released.

The data breach was reported to the Massachusetts Attorney General's office on Aug. 22, 2025.
