What Happened?
On Aug. 12, 2026, Birdi experienced a data breach when an unauthorized individual gained access to a Birdi employee’s work email account after the employee opened a malicious file.
As a result, the unauthorized individual accessed an internal Birdi report containing employee information. The company identified and contained the incident the same evening, disabled the affected account and confirmed that no further access occurred.
Birdi reported the breach to the Massachusetts Attorney General on Sept. 9, 2026.
