In December 2024, Baker University discovered suspicious activity on its network, which resulted in a temporary network outage. The university launched an investigation and determined that there was unauthorized access to certain files and folders between Dec. 2, 2024, and Dec. 19, 2024.
This incident led to the exposure of sensitive information belonging to individuals affiliated with the university. So far, at least 53,624 individuals have been impacted, including 1,064 residents in Texas, 66 in Massachusetts and nine in New Hampshire and five in Maine.
