What happened?

In September 2023, Hospital Auxilio Mutuo became aware of a potential cyberattack after being notified by the Department of Homeland Security. On May 15, 2024, an investigation revealed unauthorized activity took place on the hospital’s systems, compromising both personally identifiable information (PII) and Protected health information (PHI).

It has been determined that patients who visited the hospital between August 2022 and September 2023 could be affected. The hospital published a Notification of Potential Data Breach on its website.
