With more than 1,600 employees worldwide, the company’s product line includes aortic stent grafts, surgical sealants, mechanical heart valves, and a variety of implantable cardiac and vascular tissues. Artivion operates manufacturing facilities in Atlanta, Austin and Hechingen, Germany

What happened?

Artivion experienced major a data breach between Nov. 20 and Nov. 21, 2024 when a cybercriminal gained access to its network and obtained files containing employee personal and protected health information. The data breach affected current and former employees' and their families.

The breach was disclosed to state authorities in Maine, Texas and Vermont in early July 2025. Affected individuals were notified by mail beginning on July 9, 2025.

  • Date of birth
  • Direct deposit information

Artivion has not released the total number of current and former employees impacted. Affected individuals include at least 5,608 Texas residents and three in Maine.
