What Happened?
On Sept. 22, 2026, Astrana Health disclosed a data breach to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
The incident involved a series of social engineering attacks where threat actors impersonated company personnel and spoofed Astrana Health’s main corporate phone number to contact employees. This allowed unauthorized access to company servers.
Astrana Health’s cybersecurity team investigated the breach, worked to mitigate risks and engaged outside cybersecurity experts. The company has also enhanced its cybersecurity protections, including logging and detection capabilities.
While the investigation is ongoing, Astrana Health confirmed that certain private and confidential information stored on its systems was accessed and/or acquired without authorization.
At this time, Astrana Health has not specified the exact types of consumer information impacted. The company is still assessing the full extent and impact of the breach.
