Assisted Living Pharmacy Service LLC, also known as ALPS, is a Wisconsin-based pharmacy that serves assisted living facilities across Southeast Wisconsin. Founded in 2004, the company provides pharmaceutical services to assisted living communities, including customized medication programs, specialized packaging and 24/7 pharmacist availability.

What happened?

On June 26, 2025, Assisted Living Pharmacy Service discovered suspicious activity within its computer systems. An investigation revealed that, between June 25 and June 27, 2025, cybercriminals accessed or acquired data from certain internal systems. The data breach was later linked to a ransomware attack by the group known as Qilin, who claimed to have stolen 150 GB of data and posted evidence on a dark web portal.

The data breach affected at least 5,590 individuals who received prescription services from ALPS between January 2024 and June 2025.

Assisted Living Pharmacy Service disclosed the cyberattack to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on Aug. 25, 2025 and posted a Notice of Data Event on it's website.
