What Happened?
On or about July 2, 2026, Amgen discovered unauthorized access to certain company systems and data stored in cloud environments managed by third-party providers.
After an investigation with independent cybersecurity experts, Amgen confirmed that, as of July 18, 2026, an unauthorized third party had acquired files containing patient personal information and health information.
Information Exposed:
- Names
- Email addresses
- Postal addresses
- Dates of birth
- Government identification numbers (such as Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, state ID cards, passports)
- Medical information
- Health insurance information
- Patient protected health information
- Personal financial information (including bank account numbers, credit or debit card numbers)
In Texas alone, 6,714 residents were affected, with additional individuals impacted in Massachusetts and Vermont.
