Shamis & Gentile P.A., one of the nation's premier class action law firms specializing in data breach cases, is investigating the Alpine Ear, Nose, and Throat data breach.

If you were affected by the data breach, your sensitive personally identifiable information may have been exposed, and you may be eligible for compensation.

About Alpine Ear, Nose, and Throat

Alpine Ear, Nose & Throat is a medical practice based in Fort Collins, Colorado, with additional offices serving Northern Colorado communities such as Loveland and Greeley. Founded in 1991, Alpine ENT specializes in a range of services, including general ear, nose, and throat care, audiology, allergy treatments, vestibular therapy and facial plastics.

The practice employs between 51 and 200 staff members and operates as a corporation.

What Happened?

On Nov. 19, 2024, Alpine ENT discovered that its systems had been compromised by an unauthorized actor. The company worked with its Managed Services Provider to secure its systems and hired a specialized cybersecurity firm to investigate. The forensic investigation confirmed that personal information within Alpine ENT’s systems was accessed without authorization.

During the investigation, Alpine ENT posted a substitute notice on its website on Jan. 17, 2025, and completed a thorough review of the impacted information by Oct. 9, 2025. The company finalized the list of affected individuals on Jan. 26, 2026.

In total, 65,648 people in the United States were affected, including 10 Maine residents. The Maine Attorney General and the New Hampshire Attorney General were notified, and written notification letters were mailed to affected individuals.

On Dec. 1, 2024, the BianLian ransomware group claimed responsibility for the attack and posted stolen data on the dark web. The exposed data reportedly included financial data, HR records, confidential agreements, email correspondence and numerous patient records.
