On May 26, 2026, Allwyn Dental’s IT support company discovered irregularities related to remote access session hosts. It became clear that a cyberattack had occurred.
The IT team locked down external access, disabled all accounts with remote desktop access, and required an office-wide password reset. The patient record platform was restored promptly, and archived data was not affected.
Through their investigation, Allwyn Dental determined that certain personal information of patients may have been accessed. The breach did not affect payment information or dental care services, but sensitive data was involved.

- Driver’s license numbers
- Government-issued ID numbers (such as passport or state ID card numbers)
