What Happened?
On Oct. 6, 2025, Alliance Roofing experienced a network disruption caused by a ransomware attack.
The company secured its network and hired cybersecurity experts to investigate. The investigation revealed that an unauthorized actor gained access to the network and potentially acquired sensitive data.
On April 1, 2026, the Akira ransomware group claimed responsibility on the dark web, stating they obtained 170 GB of organizational data, including employee and client information.
The review of impacted data concluded on Feb. 23, 2026.

Alliance Roofing began notifying affected individuals in April 2026. The incident was reported to the California Attorney General on May 7, 2026.
