What Happened?
On Dec. 8, 2025, Aligned Orthopedic discovered unusual activity in its email environment. An investigation, supported by external cybersecurity experts, revealed that an unauthorized party had accessed the company’s email system between Nov. 16, 2025, and Dec. 16, 2025.
During this time, certain emails and files containing sensitive information may have been accessed.
After a thorough review concluded on Feb. 17, 2026, the company determined that personal and health information may have been exposed.

- dates of birth
- Social Security numbers
- driver’s license or state identification numbers
- Medicaid or Medicare numbers
- financial account numbers
- medical dates of service
- medical provider names
- mental or physical condition
- medical treatment information
- diagnosis or clinical information
- prescription information
- health insurance information
- patient account numbers
- medical record numbers
Aligned Orthopedic began mailing notification letters to affected individuals on April 17, 2026.
