About 32 Pearls

32 Pearls is a dental care provider with locations in Seattle and Tacoma, Washington. Founded in 2007, the company offers a range of general and cosmetic dental services, including crowns, bridges, dentures, tooth extractions and implants.

What happened?

On May 22, 2025, 32 Pearls discovered that certain files on its systems had been encrypted by malicious software. The company immediately launched an investigation with the help of third-party cybersecurity experts.

The investigation revealed that an unauthorized actor gained access to a limited number of systems and may have viewed or accessed certain files between May 19 and May 22, 2025.

As a result, sensitive information belonging to 23,550 Washington residents may have been exposed.

Information Exposed:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Driver's license or Washington ID card number
  • Full date of birth
  • Health insurance policy or ID number
  • Medical information

While there is currently no evidence that this information has been misused, 32 Pearls notified affected individuals and is offering 12 months of identity protection services.

Your Rights and Next Steps

If you received a notice from 32 Pearls, it is important to take the situation seriously. Even if there is no evidence of misuse, the exposure of sensitive personal and medical data can put individuals at risk for identity theft and fraud.

There are several steps affected individuals can take:

  • Enroll in the free identity protection services offered by 32 Pearls through IDX, which includes credit and CyberScan monitoring, a $1,000,000 insurance reimbursement policy and fully managed identity theft recovery services.
  • Review credit reports regularly. Under federal law, everyone is entitled to one free copy of their credit report from each of the three major credit bureaus every 12 months.
  • Place a fraud alert or security freeze on credit files with the major credit bureaus to help prevent unauthorized accounts from being opened.
  • Remain vigilant for signs of identity theft or suspicious activity. If any is detected, report it to IDX and law enforcement.
  • Keep all correspondence from 32 Pearls, as it may be needed for future claims or legal actions.
