Women's Wellness of Southern Delaware, a full-service obstetrics, gynecology and facial aesthetics practice in Lewes, Delaware, disclosed a data breach involving patient information that was retained by a former provider after their engagement with the practice ended.
On April 28, 2026, Women's Wellness of Southern Delaware learned that the provider kept patient contact and other patient-related information after the provider's engagement with the practice ended. During their time at the practice, the former provider had access to the electronic medical records systems used by Women's Wellness of Southern Delaware.
The practice stated it believes some of its patients were contacted using this retained information to offer similar aesthetic services at a new practice. The information that was retained affected both aesthetics services patients and a more limited set of clinical services patients.
For aesthetics services patients, the affected information may have included personally identifiable information and protected health information such as names, email addresses, birthdates, gender, addresses, phone numbers, medications and supplements, allergies, photographs, intake records, aesthetics-related medical history, face maps, dates of services and purchases, and descriptions of services or items purchased.
For clinical services patients, the potentially affected information was more limited but may have included names, phone numbers, dates of purchases, and descriptions of items or medication purchased.
The practice began notifying affected individuals on June 26, 2026, according to a public notice the company issued through PR Newswire.
Women's Wellness of Southern Delaware has set up a toll-free dedicated assistance line at 1-833-786-9172 for individuals who have questions or concerns about the incident. The line is available from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, excluding U.S. holidays.
The practice encouraged affected individuals to call the line if they have questions or concerns not addressed in the public notice.
