
On Oct. 22, 2025, The TEAM Companies discovered a major data breach involving unauthorized access to its internal network. The incident took place between July 15 and July 26, 2025, and was detected when the suspicious activity was observed on July 21.
Upon investigation, it was determined that an unauthorized party had gained access to sensitive data belonging to individuals associated with the company.
At least 21,936 people in the United States were impacted by this breach, including 1,549 Texas residents, 324 in Massachusetts, 296 in Rhode Island, 26 in Maine and 23 in New Hampshire, according to filings with state attorneys general. The investigation is ongoing, and the number of impacted individuals is subject to change.
The types of information exposed may have included names, addresses, dates of birth, government-issued identification numbers, financial account information and health information.
On Nov. 21, 2025, TEAM Companies began notifying state authorities including the Maine, Oregon, Massachusetts, California, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Texas Attorney Generals' offices.
As a precaution, the company is offering affected individuals complimentary access to Single Bureau Credit Monitoring, Credit Report and Credit Score services for 24 months through Cyberscout. This service also includes identity monitoring for personal data on the dark web and proactive fraud assistance. Affected individuals are encouraged to enroll within 90 days of receiving their notification letter.
