







Amarillo, Texas based SSA Holdings disclosed to various state attorneys generals that the company was the victim of a data breach on Sept. 15, 2025. According to the disclosures, an unauthorized person gained access to its systems and acquired copies of their files.
An investigation that concluded on Oct. 24, 2025, concluded that the compromised files contained personally identifiable information, including names and Social Security numbers.
The breach affected at least 1,639 individuals in Texas alone with other state's yet to publish the extent of the impact on their residents.
The breach was first reported to the California Attorney General’s office on Nov. 13, 2025. Subsequent disclosures were made to the Texas Attorney General and the Massachusetts Attorney General on Nov. 14th.
In response to the breach, SSA Holdings, LLC engaged cybersecurity professionals to investigate the incident and took steps to contain the unauthorized activity. The company also notified law enforcement about the breach. To support those affected, SSA Holdings, LLC has partnered with Kroll to provide complimentary identity monitoring services for a specified period. These services include credit monitoring, $1 million in identity fraud loss reimbursement, fraud consultation and identity theft restoration.
Affected individuals are encouraged to activate the provided identity monitoring services by visiting the Kroll enrollment website listed in the notification letter. It is also advisable for individuals to remain vigilant by regularly reviewing account statements and credit reports for any unauthorized activity. The company’s notice includes detailed instructions on placing fraud alerts or security freezes with credit bureaus and provides contact information for the Federal Trade Commission and state attorney general offices
