Rectangle Health, a healthcare financial technology provider, experienced a data breach. The company was informed that sensitive information stored on a Salesforce software platform was accessed by a threat actor between Aug. 12 and Aug. 17, 2025.
An investigation took place and on Sept. 5, 2025, it was determined that at least 2,095 individuals were affected by the cybersecurity incident. Exposed information included names, dates of birth and Social Security numbers.
Rectangle Health began notifying affected consumers by mail on Oct. 8, 2025. The breach was also disclosed to the Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts Attorney Generals' offices on Oct. 8, 2025.
Rectangle Health responded to the breach by securing its network and launching an investigation. In addition to required disclosures, the company is offering impacted individuals 12 free months of Epiq Privacy Solutions ID credit monitoring services.
